Romeo, MI Information

Travel - M-53 is the main thoroughfare into Romeo, and it runs north and south. 32 Mile is the main road to get east and west. It also has access to both major expressways I-94 and I-75.

Shopping - There are four large shopping malls within 30-45 minutes - Lakeside Mall, Partridge Creek, the Village of Rochester Hills and Macomb Mall. There are also several strip malls in the area with large chain stores and numerous restaurants. Plus downtown Romeo and downtown Rochester Hills both feature several small boutique stores.

Education - Within 30 minutes just southeast is Macomb Community College, where you can receive an associate's degree and through Macomb University, a bachelor's or master's degree. Also in neighboring Rochester, Michigan, you will find Oakland University which offers 132 baccalaureate degree programs and 117 graduate degree and certificate programs.

Hospitals - Henry Ford Macomb Hospital located in nearby Clinton Township offers 435 beds, along with a heart center, cancer center, birthing center and more. They also offer a Health Care Center right in Bruce Township on Van Dyke. Children's Hospital of Michigan Stilson Specialty Center is also located in Clinton Township and provides all types of pediatric specialties. Just south in Macomb Township is the Beaumont Medical Center along with several other large hospitals throughout Macomb, Oakland and Wayne Counties.

Theater - Macomb Center for Performing Arts is located just south in Clinton Township and features various shows like the Letterman, Ann Margaret, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Lou Rawls, and the Temptations. On the grounds of Oakland University, you will find The Meadowbrook Amphitheatre which also offers high-quality entertainment.

Government - The Romeo Township offices are located at 121 W. St. Clair, Romeo, MI 48065 and the phone number is 586-752-3565. Trash service information including pick-up days, billing, yard waste and more. Water and Sewer rates, final billing, etc.

Entertainment - Romeo is known for it's annual Peach Festival every Labor day weekend since 1931 and includes a car show, floral parade, craft show, and many other downtown events. Also, the locally famous Tilson street is visited every Halloween by thousands who trick or treat and amaze at the homeowner's elaborate Halloween Decorations. Extras - Macomb Orchard Trail winds through Romeo just north of 32 Mile and crosses over the Van Dyke freeway as it heads east on the way to Richmond and south into nearby Stony Creek Metro Park Here's a list of several golf courses in the area.
