It's located on the east side of Macomb County, above the county seat and 30 miles north of downtown Detroit.  Chesterfield borders Macomb Township, New Haven, Mt. Clemens, and Selfridge Airforce base.  The township has both older and newer subdivisions and is popular for many boaters as it sits close to Anchor Bay and Lake St Clair.  Also, home to Brandenburg Park which features basketball, tennis, Splash park, and picnic areas.

Chesterfield Township, MI Information

Travel - several main roads allow travel north, south, east, and west out of Chesterfield Township. Straight through the township is I-94 a major expressway running north and south.  Also M-59 runs along the southern border and allows for access to both main interstate freeways; I-94 and I-75 further to the west. Borders on Anchor Bay to the east, Macomb Twp to the west and Clinton Twp to the south.

Shopping - as for shopping just across M-59, you will find Partridge Creek a beautiful open-air shopping mall that offers 90 stores and restaurants located in Clinton Township. Just west of that, you will find Lakeside Mall with almost 150 stores and restaurants including many anchor stores. There are also several strip malls, many large chains, and tons of restaurants along the Hall Road corridor. Along with quick access to Rochester Hills.

Education - Chesterfield Township consists of 3 school districts in the Macomb Intermediate School District- Chippewa Valley, New Haven, and L'Anse Creuse. On the south end of the township located in Clinton Township, you will find Macomb Community College where you can receive an associate's degree and thru Macomb University a bachelor's and master's degree. Also in neighboring Rochester, Michigan, you will find Oakland University which offers 132 baccalaureate degree programs and 117 graduate degree and certificate programs.

Hospitals - Macomb Township is home to the Beaumont medical center located on M 59. Just south in Clinton Township is Henry Ford Chesterfield Hospital which offers 435 beds, along with a heart center, cancer center, birthing center, and more. Also nearby is the Children's Hospital of Michigan Stilson Specialty Center for all types of pediatric specialties along with several other large hospitals throughout Chesterfield, Oakland, and Wayne County.

Theater - Macomb Center for the Performing Arts sits on the south side of M -59 in Clinton Township and features various shows like the Letterman, Ann Margaret, Larry Gatlin, and the Gatlin Brothers, Lou Rawls, and The Temptations. On the grounds of Oakland University, you will find The Meadow Brook Theater which also offers high-quality entertainment.

Government - The Chesterfield Township office is located at 47275 Sugarbush Rd, Chesterfield, MI 48047. Trash service information including pick-up days, billing, yard waste, and more. Water and Sewer rates, final billing, etc. Chesterfield Township has to read your meter for final water bills.

Extras - Chesterfield has a couple of golf courses and Brandenburg Park which sits along Anchor Bay with loads of activities.
