This weekend you can enjoy another local event! The 13th Annual St. Clair Riverfest is July 27-29, 2017!  It "takes place on the banks of the St. Clair River, this event is one you don’t want to miss.  Enjoy a weekend filled with Boat Races, Live Local and National Music, Great Food, Drinks, fun Novelty Vendors and much more! St. Clair Riverfest attracts all ages with the wide variety of activities. FREE concerts on Friday & Saturday, great food, vendors, and of course the boat races ending the festival on Sunday! Macomb Township Parks & Recreation Music in The Park

Macomb Township hosts their free summer concert series on Thursday nights at Macomb Corners Park!

There are still three dates left to catch a local band playing their tunes ~ July 19th, July 26th, and August 2nd. According to the Macomb Township Parks & Recreation website, "each ninety minute set will be held rain or shine, so gather your family and friends and come prepared to enjoy this fantastic concert series lineup.  In addition to the concert, our kidzone play-area will be in full swing with inflatables, organized games, toys and other equipment.  The Concerts will take place on the main lawn at Macomb Corners Park so for your comfort please remember to bring lawn chairs or

Kayak the Clinton River

Did you know that you can paddle your way down the Clinton River? No need to drive up to the Au Sable or Rifle River to have an awesome kayak experience! You can do so without leaving Macomb County. According to the Make Macomb Your Home website, “you can kayak (or canoe) 42 miles of the Clinton River and with several local outfitters to choose from, getting out on this waterway is an easy, affordable and fun thing to do.” On the Clinton River page of the website, they go on to discuss that while it may be a fun trip, you should always be prepared for the dangers. "The Shelby Township DDA will be hosting its first Food Truck Rally along with the 2018 Shelby Township Independence Day Fireworks  on July 3rd. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and run until 9:30 p.m., leaving plenty of time to get a good seat at Ford Field or the Packard Proving Grounds to watch the fireworks following the rally. The rally will be held in the at 7755 23 Mile Road, in the Huntington Bank parking lot.

Check out the Macomb Township Parks & Rec Tons O’ Trucks & Wheeled Wonders on June 23rd! I have attended this event for several years now and my children have a blast! Last year it was recently moved to Seneca Middle School which allowed for better parking and the more to look at! It was a great change to an already great event! What better place to take any kid (or any kid at heart for that matter!) to be able to get up close and personal with some of the most amazing “Wheeled Wonders.”

7th Annual Sprint & Splash

7th Annual Sprint & Splash

On Saturday, June 16th the 7th Annual Sprint & Splash will be held at Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township. This event is sponsored by the Henry Ford Health System.

‚ÄčThis fun event has many ways you can participate! The different Sprint and Splash Events include a 5K run/walk, a duathlon (combines a 5K run and a 2-mile paddle using a kayak or stand-up paddle board aka SUP), a 2-mile kayak race, a 2-mile recreational SUP race, or a 6-mile sanctioned SUP race.
